TranScreen Film Festival 2013

Posted on 1 May 2013, 18:184 May 2021, 3:00 by Eeée

The first festival was a success, so it is time for number two! This time at Ketelhuis / Filmhuis Cavia Amsterdam from May 8 to May 12.

Download the digital version of our super slick program booklet.

Come experience arthouse films, road movies, documentaries, blockbusters, experimental animation, porn… and more. Enjoy diversity, drag, and multiple parties; experience a genderstretch to the max!

This year our festival is spread across two cinemas in Amsterdam: Cinema het Ketelhuis and Filmhuis Cavia.

In our quest to find a nice blend of trans* related films, we noticed a changing media landscape and a rising professionalism among trans* filmmakers themselves. We found films from all over the world, even the Netherlands! Meandering through our 34 film blocks bring thematic programs, such as: World Reports, Feeling Community, Mixed Abilities, STOP Pathologization! and Unambiguously Intersex.

Go watch them all,

Eliza, Femke, Jiro, Karola, Lara, Maik and Mijke
